I wish you health, gratitude and perspective
After 6+ months of struggles and challenges for so many of us, this message from April is even more relevant today. Stay strong and stay healthy, and most importantly, don’t give up on your goals and dreams. Better times are coming.
I am grateful
First and foremost, I am grateful for the health, happiness, understanding and support of my family and friends. I am also very grateful for my colleagues who are thoughtful, understanding and supportive of our collaborative initiatives and goals. No matter what we need to do, we need to do it together. Thank you!
Respect the person, not the title
How often have we seen people who act one way around the C-suite executives, around the CEO, around the owner(s) of the company and entirely different around everyone else? My experience has shown me that in the long-term, these people will always lose. Don’t be one of them. Respect the person, not the title.
Adjust your perspective
Adjust your perspective and focus on positive and grateful aspects of your life. Things could be better, sure, but they could also be much worse, don’t forget that. Work on those areas you want to improve, but don’t take people and valuable opportunities you have for granted.
Work hard and be patient
Patience and gratitude go a long way in life and in business. Way too many of us (at times) express entitlement (irrespective of age) and act in the manner as if someone else owes us something which is ridiculous in most instances.
