Also, it’s amazing how close “Hristos se rodi” is to the Polish equivalent “Chrystus się rodzi”.
Poland is predominantly Roman Catholic though so we celebrated our Christmas back in December. 🙂

It really does sound very close. I guess similarities come from the Slavic language commonalities (West Slavic in your case and South Slavic in mine). 🙂
