Pick up the phone and talk

While having things in writing is always useful it is important to remember to talk to people you work with as that further strengthens your working relationship and takes certain ambiguity and confusion out of the process.

    I also like lunches or beers after work with people. It’s amazing how there are so many cool things going on that you never hear about over IM or email. But a lunch trip or a quick beer gives someone a forum to talk about their fun projects.

    Jimi, I agree. Seeing people outside the regular, predetermined work environment is important in improving the overall relationship and understanding of how others operate.
