Vendors beware

by Milos Topic on August 28, 2009

A fine line separates good, valuable sales contacts from those removed from reality who end up causing more problems then they bring value for you and their own respective companies. It is important to stay in touch with your clients, but please no “stalking” as they does no good to anyone.

Wow…I so know what you mean. I can’t stand dealing with salespeople. When I need something, I’ll contact you…don’t keep stalking me!

I’ve always had mixed results dealing with sales people. We have some fantastic sales/engineer people that I can ask almost anything of, or if they don’t know they’ll find out.

But I do know what you mean about the annoying callbacks. I’ve had salespeople email me, then call me, then email me to see if I’d gotten their message. And don’t get me started about cold calls! What rotten idiot thinks it’s a good idea to randomly start calling people asking to buy their product.

Times are tough, but annoying your current or prospective clients is not the way to make a buck.
