Resume tips

Back in December I posted a video on basic things I thought people should know when attending an in-person interview.

Today, after reviewing several dozen resumes for a position within a different department I put together a list of basic things people should know NOT to put on their resumes in order to get to the in-person interview.

Make it relevant! If you’re on or fresh out of college and going for your first position in that field, start the resume with education. If it’s another job in the same field, start with work experience. And for heaven’s sake, USE SPELL CHECK!!

:) I like the spell check reference, it’s one of those things most people take for granted but somehow way too many end up making mistakes.
