Keeping things in perspective

by Milos Topic on October 29, 2008

Make sure you always keep things in perspective, stay positive and don’t allow little things to spoil your larger plans and dreams.

p.s. I said “ummm…” way too many times in this video, but that’s how it goes when you do only one take. :) ummm…!

Reactions such as those you describe are most difficult to avoid when they’ve become habitual. As human beings, we seem to become easily conditioned into reacting in a particular way, which is where a whole host of emotional problems originate; phobias, relationship issues and mental health issues such as OCD, to name but a few.

It can take a real shift in thinking to break out of the cycle, but it’s well worth it in the end. Good advice as always, and thanks for saying what we all need to hear now and again!

Gaz, thank you for your comment and kind words.
I always say that people are creatures of habits, but these habits are often worth trying to break. Personal behavior and habits can be partially compared to processes and/or procedures elsewhere (work for example). However, just because something was done the same way for a while it doesn’t make it right and it is worth the effort and struggle now in order to have a much brighter and better future.
