		<description>I think the answer might be &quot;all of the above&quot; for a lot of people. I follow people for many reasons:

1. because they are funny
2. because they post interesting links/pictures
3. because I know them in person
4. because they are a known personality in my field, or because I personally admire their work
5. because I read their blog or they read mine and we interact online a lot and thus I&#039;m interested in what they have to say

Also, I like to have a place where I can blurt out random stuff when I&#039;m happy, frustrated, annoyed or bored. :)</description>
