    Internet Explorer gone crazy

Being in IT I see a lot of crazy, funny and dumb technical problems caused by either the equipment itself or their users. Today we ran into a small issue with a brand new Dell Latitude D630 laptop where any URL entered in Internet Explorer (including predefined Microsoft links such as Windows Update) would cause Firefox to open. :)

Now, I prefer Firefox over IE anyway, but this is strange especially considering that this same image worked previously on other computers.

Emil (my coworker from the video) even found a possible solution to this weirdness, but unfortunately it didn’t work for us.

Here’s a short video of what was happening.

Thanks Jon! Unfortunately we didn’t get to try this as we reimaged that machine yesterday. However, it’s good to see that others are having the problem as well, not just us :) I will save your link to try should it happen again.
